What is
MooCycle?
We have introduced a scheme where we will buy clothes (and books - scroll down for more info) back in exchange for store credit. We have a dedicated space upstairs in our Canterbury shop offering pre-loved clothes that are great value and ever-changing.
Eventually it will be a full second-hand version of our shop - within our shop. It's fully circular, and it feels right.
Have these clothes been loved before? Yes.
Will they be loved again? Yes.

How will it work?
We are taking back all clothes in good condition (no holes or stains please - though if they have been repaired that is fine) from all brands that we currently stock or have previously stocked. They don't even need to have been bought from us! Find the list of brands below.
We will then issue you with a digital gift card for the value of the clothes you have brought in - we will email it to you and you can use it in store or online. Or if you want to buy something at the same time as bringing in the clothes we can deduct the value off your purchase, giving you a nice discount
This sounds interesting
Tell me more please
- We know the clothes we choose to stock are made to last. We know children grow out of clothes well before the clothes are finished with.
- We know that not everyone can afford a babygrow for £20 - £30 but they might be able to afford the same one, second hand, for £6 instead.
- Together let's keep clothes out of landfill, commit to slow fashion, and offer an excellent value selection of great quality clothes that just want to be loved again and again, and importantly - let's make these clothes accessible to even more kids.
- This is fully circular fashion, and creates a more accessible option to buy great quality clothes.
question:
Is there loads of money to be made selling second-hand clothes?
In a word, no! This alone would not be a viable business, the difference in what we buy the clothes for and what we sell them for really only covers our costs. We're doing this because we really, really want to. In fact since having the idea we couldn't not do it, it became a compulsion.
So we've designed MooCycle to be simple, hassle-free, fair and transparent. As we just don't have the time to value and assess each item individually, we will offer a set amount for different clothes types (info on this to follow).
Okay, great
Give me all the details!
Each item type will be worth the same amount of store credit no matter what it originally cost, and the items will be sold for the same amount too. It's quite socialist isn't it?
For example, we will buy all trousers for the same amount of store credit, and we will sell all trousers for the same sale price.
All jumpers will be bought for the same amount of store credit, and we will sell all jumpers for the same amount of store credit. Simple!

Did you know
We’ll buy back books too
Once you’re finished with the books you’ve bought from us bring them back and we’ll give you 20% of the RRP back as store credit, then we’ll sell them in our Pre-Loved room in our Canterbury shop for 30% of the RRP. This difference purely covers our costs.
This keeps the books in a never-ending cycle where more and more children can have access to them at more affordable prices.
They can be brought into either of our stores or posted to us (please note we cannot cover the postal costs), and we will issue a digital voucher by email.
