This gorgeous solar system desk marble is more like a paperweight in size. Depicting the solar system, inside you can see planets in orbit around the Sun, representing Saturn, Venus, Mars and the Earth among others. Each planet even has its on Moon(s)!

Why marbles?

We brought in marbles because we realised that it’s getting harder and harder for kids to spend small amounts of (pocket) money on anything - that isn’t edible that is.

We filled our old haberdasher’s glass counter full of marbles in our Folkestone shop, and have glass jars of marbles behind our till in Canterbury (like an old sweet shop), and we sell marbles individually starting from 40p.

Something we’ve noticed is that it can help the children with counting their money and working out how many marbles they can buy that day.
